Meet Dr. D. Scott Taylor, Biologist

Dr. Taylor is a native of Melbourne, Florida and lives there now, but has traveled throughout the Caribbean, Central America, Europe, the Mediterranean countries, north Africa, the middle East and Asia.  He holds a BA in Biology from Antioch College, and a Ph.D. in marine biology from Florida Tech.

His research through the Smithsonian Institution has brought new insights on mangrove fishes, and he is widely published on a variety of scientific topics. in Natural History and other publications.

He is currently a Land Manager with Brevard County Environmentally Endangered Lands Program, charged with managing and restoring Florida’s diverse natural habitats.
